Less than one year for the World Cup in Brazil, FIFA, biggest entity on football, was indicated to the prize of the worst enterprise of the world. The announce is done by organizers of Public Eye Awards, known as the Nobel corporate shame. They opened voting in internet for electing the ‘winner’. The result will be announced on January 2014.

Created in 2000, the Public Eye Awards is granted annually in the World Economic Forum, in Davos, always in January. The ‘winner’ corporation is elected by popular vote in function of denounces of social, environmental and labor troubles. In 2012, the brazilian mining Vale was elected for violations of human rights and negative environmental impacts caused by its operations. For similar reasons, Shell was the winner in 2013. For the next year, FIFA concurs the prize with enterprises as HBSC bank, the shop GAP, the oil company Gazprom and the producer of pesticides Syngenta.
The nomination of FIFA comes after protests that took place in Brazil during Confederations Cup. The entity presided by Joseph Blatter is acused of denying responsibility for violations of human rights and bad use of public money, favoring sponsors and with the consent of local governments.
The nomination was a proposal of National Coalition of Local Commitees for Peoples World Cup and Olympic (ANCOP), net that join social movements and organizations en all host-cities of the FIFA World Cup 2014. Only in Brazil, ANCOP accounts, for example, at least 250 thousand people affected or threatened of forced eviction because of works related with the World Cup.
