Voting is open for this year’s special edition Pinocchio Climate Awards! This year’s who’s who of nasty multinational companies whose activities have a direct impact on the climate and communities around the world. Those who use their influence, through lobbying, or greenwashing to undermine action on climate change. Vote now for the worst companies of the year.

This year, as Paris hosts the international climate talks (COP21), the Pinocchio Climate Awards targets multinational companies whose activities have a direct impact on the climate and communities around the world. Especially those who wash themselves in the language of green or sustainable development.

There are three categories and three awards:

Lobbying:

– Total: Total-ly addicted to gas

– Avril: lobbying for biofuels

– Chevron: lobbying for fracking

Greenwashing:

– Engie: leading the transition to climate chaos

– EDF: Official partner of a carbon-fuelled future

– Yara: greenwashing climate-stupid agriculture

Local Impacts:

– BNP Paribas: bankrolling coal in India

– Shell: A continuing legacy of environmental destruction

– Anglo-American: Mining coal, undermining human rights

VOTE NOW!

Voting closes on December 2nd 2015. You are invited to the awards ceremony on December 3rd 2015 at 7pm, in Paris:
