Week of Mobilisation – Geneva

Dismantle Corporate Power

From June 23 to 27, NGOs, social movements, networks and activists gathered in Geneva for a Week of Mobilisation to fight against the corporate power of transnational corporations and demand a world in which there can be justice for the victims of their violations of human and peoples’ rights. The Week of Mobilisation was a collective effort carried out in the framework of the Global Campaign to Dismantle Corporate Power and Stop Impunity [Link homepage], and it included several and diverse activities and initiatives. In particular, the participants aimed at putting pressure on the governments of the United Nations Human Rights Council in order for them to approve a Resolution to initiate the negotiation of an international binding legal instrument imposing human rights obligations on transnational corporations. The following documents provide all the necessary information about the Week of Mobilisation.
