Take action

Thursday 24 April will mark the anniversary of the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh – the worst disaster in the history of the fashion industry that killed over 1,100 people, mainly female garment workers.

We need you to take action on your high street: join us on 24 April.

Despite the scale of the disaster and the huge public response, Gap has refused to join over 150 major brands and retailers in a comprehensive project to make Bangladesh’s garment factories safe.

Gap is putting its workers’ lives in danger every day and undermining the work being done to make factories safe.

In December Gap was judged by the Public Eye awards to be the worst company in the world in 2013 for its refusal to join the  Bangladesh Safety Accord.

On the anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster we want to hold Gap to account for its failures to respect workers’ rights. We want to take action at Gap stores across the country to demand justice for the people who make our clothes. And we need you to help us make this happen.

Could you take part in an action in your local area, or organise one? Could you re-brand Gap clothes with our clothing tags that expose workers’ hazardous conditions? We need to hear from you.

Join us in this global day of action on 24 April and demand Gap makes its factories safe.
